have told him that I shall in future require a Deputy Registrar to be in attendance in Court on all occasions. I do not think it necessary to assure Your Excellency that in doing this I have no intention of embarrassing the Government: but it is right that the Government should know exactly the position of affairs, and if the Registry cannot get on properly - as I do not believe it can - without this assistance, I shall of course revert to the practice of the last few months, and submit to the inconvenience until the Registry can be put upon a more

satisfactory basis.
